Do I need Botox or filler?
Botox and fillers are both used for wrinkles but are usually used in different areas of the face. However, sometimes they can be used in the same area for synergistic results. Botox traditionally is used for wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movement. This includes the forehead, the wrinkles between your eyebrows, crow’s feet and wrinkles around your lips. Fillers are used to plump wrinkles caused from decreased volume or skin laxity. They are used to create volume in the cheeks and lips and can fill in wrinkles around the lips and the lines that extend from the corner of you nose to the corner of your lip (nasolabial folds).
Does insurance pay for my eyelid surgery?
Patient’s come in with complaints about their droopy upper eyelids. Insurance will typically pay for upper eyelid surgery when the eyelids are droopy enough that your peripheral vision is affected. Common complaints from people with droopy eyelids include having to use their forehead to lift their eyelids in order to see better, decreased vision while reading and decreased side vision. When you come in for a consult, we will do all of the necessary testing for you.
How do I get rid of my dark undereye circles?
Dark circles result from too much pigmentation or from visible blood vessels in too thin skin. There are several solutions depending on the cause of the problem. Solutions include: concealers that reflect the light, gels that have skin lightening properties, injectables that help to decrease the “sunken” in appearance, prescription strength vitamin A products that thicken the skin, and eyelid surgery. What happens after my Botox treatment wears off?
The simple answer is that your wrinkles will go back to the way they looked prior to your Botox injections. Foe example, if you use Botox for 3 years and decide to stop using it, you wrinkles will return to their “pre-Botox” state. Your will not magically age three years overnight.
